Micromobility Expo 2022

Australia’s first dedicated Micromobility Conference will give delegates the opportunity to learn about best practices from international and Australian experts.

According to the Australian Cycling Economy Report recently produced by EY, Australia’s state and local governments spent $428 million on cycling related infrastructure and programs alone in 2020. This figure is trending up each year.

After hearing from inspirational keynote speakers, the Micromobility Conference will break into delegates’ choice of two themes on each of its two days.

The Micromobility Conference will be a great opportunity to make new contacts, develop your professional skills, to learn about both the bigger picture trends and latest technical information and to simply be inspired and encouraged.

The Micromobility Expo and Micromobility Conference will be held at Royal Randwick Racecourse

Royal Randwick Racecourse occupies a remarkable spread of well over 80 hectares of land in the heart of Sydney’s inner eastern suburbs and has seen well over $150 million in capital developments including the state of the art, six level Queen Elizabeth II Grandstand, opened in 2013 at a cost of approximately $100 million, which will house both the Micromobility Expo and Micromobility Conference.
Although it could be argued that micromobility and horse racing are not a perfect cultural fit, venue management will be removing or concealing all betting and other race day signage for the duration of our event.

Meanwhile the venue brings a unique combination of features unmatched by any other in Sydney. These include close access to the city centre and airport and the new Royal Randwick light rail station being directly opposite the main entrance gate.

Most importantly, the spacious, manicured grounds dotted with mature shade trees, lawns and wide paths offer multiple test track opportunities for attendees to test ride a wide range of micromobility vehicles.

There will be free, secure on-venue parking for all forms of micromobility vehicles. There’s also a multi-level on site carpark available for a flat rate of $10 per day.

Micromobility Expo

Micromobility is a relatively new word that encompasses traditional bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes, e-scooters, share schemes, all other forms light electric vehicles, plus a wide range of enabling technology, products and services.

It’s a booming market sector with huge investments pouring in, but until now, no dedicated Australian event to showcase all of the latest technology.

Best of all we’ll be back in person, so visitors can not just look, but try!

Our venue, Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse, provides a unique combination of inner city convenience and vast open space to allow for safe, traffic free test riding.

Exhibitors will meet a wide range of visitors including retailers, transport professionals from industry and government, plus keen potential customers from the general public.

There will be free seminars held as part of the expo and delegates from the Micromobility Conference which will be concurrently held in the same venue, will have generous breaks to allow them time to visit the Expo.
